In a bid to continue to raise awareness about their campaign, the Bring Back Our Girls Group (BBOG) will today meet former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Professor Wole Soyinka, and Ambassador Christopher Kolade.

The group's spokesperson, Mr. Rotimi Olawale said in a statement that the meetings will hold in Abeokuta and Lagos.

"The #BringBackOurGirls Movement, as part of efforts to continue to put the abduction of the 219 chibokGirls and other similar abductions in Nigeria on the front burner of National discourse, is embarking on an advocacy visit to 3 elder statesmen: H.E. President Olusegun Obasanjo (Former President of Nigeria), Professor Wole Soyinka, and Ambassador Christopher Kolade," the statement read.

"The visits in Abeokuta and Lagos today will seek to call on the Elder Statesmen to intervene in amplifying the #BringBackOurGirls campaign by reaching out to Government to provide clear information on the status of the rescue operation and for Government to prioritise the rescue of all abducted Nigerians on the top of National Agenda," it added.

Tomorrow, January 14, will mark exactly 9 months since the 276 girls were abducted from their secondary school in Chibok, Borno State while BBOG began advocating for the rescue of the girls on April 30, and have continued to do so since then.
